Disaster Relief Work
Service unto mankind and devotion unto God
In natural calamities, YDS volunteers are among the first to arrive and the last to leave. YDS have rendered dedicated relief services during times of domestic and international disasters to help people devastated in natural catastrophes. The following services have been provided by YDS centers all over the world in an effort to provide relief towards disaster-afflicted regions:
- Provision of necessary Emergency medicines, supplies
- Clothes, shoes for family and orphans
- A continuous supply of pure drinkable water
- 2,000 tents for families and orphans
YDS volunteers have worked round-the-clock, for days on end to serve during Hurricane Katrina, the earthquake in Haiti, Tsunami relief, and other catastrophes. These services provided free meals, clothing, medical supplies, relocating refugees, and the general rehabilitation of people affected by natural disasters.
