The third Annual Patotsav of Harisumiran Mandir was held on Saturday, July 9th, 2022. This auspicious occasion was graced by the presence of four saints who travelled from India. The altar was decorated with smurtis of Guruhari Hariprasad Swamiji, dating back to the initial rituals to consecrate Thakorji in 2019.
The celebration began with a mahapooja in front of the alter, which was conducted by P. Sarvamangalswami, P. Guruprasadswami, P. Samanvayswami, and P. Satyaswaroopswami. During the mahapooja, all the devotees in attendance had the unique opportunity to offer flowers to Thakorji. On behalf of all devotees, P. Sarvamangalswami made a prayer at the end of the mahapooja, to be graced with the wisdom to offer devotion unto Thakorji with utmost bhakti and to live in accordance with Guruhari Hariprasad Swamiji’s and Guruhari Prabodh Swamiji’s liking.
Thereafter, everyone had an opportunity to do poojan of Thakorji and the saints. It was an exciting moment, as this unique opportunity to make a heartfelt prayer in such close proximity to Thakorji only comes once a year.
After the poojan-vidhi, a special sabha commenced. A heart-warming video of Guruhari Swamiji’s smrutis from the old mandir as well as the new mandir was shown. Several volunteers then shared their experiences of doing seva during the mandir construction. P. Sarvamangalswami and P. Guruprasadswami gave insightful discourses, in which they emphasized the importance of service unto our mandir, our community and our soul. The Patotsav celebration concluded with an offering of an elaborate variety of delicacies to Thakorji, and then aarti followed by mahaprasad.
